1. Sheldon’s Theory of Personality

Classifies personalities based on body type:

  • Endomorphic (round): relaxed, sociable.
  • Mesomorphic (muscular): active, bold.
  • Ectomorphic (thin): thoughtful, introverted.

2. Kretschmer’s Theory of Personality

Links body shape to personality:

  • Pyknic: sociable, friendly
  • Athletic: active
  • Asthenic: reserved, sensitive

3. Friedman’s Theory of Personality

Classifies by behavioral style:

  • Type A: ambitious, hurried, competitive.
  • Type B: relaxed, patient, easy-going.

4. Charak Samhita’s Ayurvedic Theory of Personality

Ancient Indian theory divides personality by mind-body constitution (Prakriti):
