Personality is the unique blend of mental (psychological) and physical characteristics that shape how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. It is not only about the mind or the body, but how both work together as a whole system.

What Are Traits?

• Traits are lasting characteristics, such as honesty or energy, formed by both natural abilities and life experiences.
• Traits are stable, often noticed in many situations, and influence each other.
• Example: A student may consistently show sincerity in studies and patience with friends.

• Different traits interact and combine, forming a system unique to each individual.
• When situations arise, these traits are “activated” and guide how a person acts and expresses themselves.
• Imagine linked gears—a change in one trait can affect others.

• Every person’s combination of traits is different, making personalities unique.
• Example: Two classmates may both be hardworking, but one is outgoing while the other is reserved.

• Personality allows people to adapt to new situations at school, home, or in society.
