DPI – Dots Per Inch

  • DPI refers to the number of ink dots a printer places in a line within one inch.
  • It determines the resolution or quality of printed output.
  • Example: A printer with 600 DPI prints 600 dots in every inch of the paper.

PPI – Pixels Per Inch

  • PPI refers to the number of pixels present per inch of a digital image or display screen.
  • It determines the clarity and sharpness of an image on a screen.
  • Example: A display with 300 PPI means there are 300 pixels within every inch of the screen.

Brightening an image :

Step 1 : Open the Brightness Tool.

  • Click on the "Colours" menu in your editing software.
  • Choose "Brightness-Contrast" from the list.

Step 2 : Adjust the Brightness

  • Move the brightness slider to make the picture brighter or darker.
  • When you're happy with how it looks, click "OK" to apply the changes.

Step 3 : See the Difference

  • The first photo shows the image before making it brighter; it's a bit dark.
  • The second photo shows the image after making it brighter; it's clearer and more colourful.
