Brightness Adjustment
DPI – Dots Per Inch
- DPI refers to the number of ink dots a printer places in a line within one inch.
- It determines the resolution or quality of printed output.
- Example: A printer with 600 DPI prints 600 dots in every inch of the paper.
PPI – Pixels Per Inch
- PPI refers to the number of pixels present per inch of a digital image or display screen.
- It determines the clarity and sharpness of an image on a screen.
- Example: A display with 300 PPI means there are 300 pixels within every inch of the screen.
Brightening an image :

Step 1 : Open the Brightness Tool.
- Click on the "Colours" menu in your editing software.
- Choose "Brightness-Contrast" from the list.
Step 2 : Adjust the Brightness
- Move the brightness slider to make the picture brighter or darker.
- When you're happy with how it looks, click "OK" to apply the changes.
Step 3 : See the Difference
- The first photo shows the image before making it brighter; it's a bit dark.
- The second photo shows the image after making it brighter; it's clearer and more colourful.
