Multiplication Of Integers with zero:

We know that any whole number, when multiplied by zero, gives zero.

For example, 0 × 6 = 6, 0 × 19 = 0.

Similarly, The product of a negative integer and zero is zero.

For example,

Statement

Observation

0 × (– 6) = 0 Result is zero
(-3) × 0 = 0 Result is zero
0 × (- 4) = 0 Result is zero
- 5 × 0 = 0 Result is zero
(–15) × 0 × (- 18) Result is zero

This shows that the product of a negative integer and zero is zero.

In general, for any integer a, a × 0 = 0 × a = 0.
