Parallel lines: Two lines in a plane are said to be parallel if they do not meet. We use the symbol || to represent parallel lines.


Parallel Lines:

  • When lines drawn on a sheet of paper do not meet, however far produced, we call them to be parallel lines.
  • Parallel lines are lines that never intersect.

  • The distance between the two parallel lines is fixed and the two lines are going in the same direction.

  • We use the symbol || to represent parallel lines.
