Notes
Plaster of Paris:-
When gypsum is heated at 373 K then it comes calcium sulphate hemihydrate which is known as Plaster of Paris. Its chemical formula is CaSO4.H2O. Doctors use it as a plaster for supporting fractures bones. Plaster of Paris can be change again to gypsum on mixing water to it.
CaSO4.H2O + H2O → CaSO4.2H2O
