Accumulation of Variation During Reproduction

Accumulation of variation during reproduction:-

-Inheritance from the previous generation provides both a common basic body design, and subtle changes in it, for the next generation.

-The second generation will have differences that they inherit from the first generation, as well as newly created differences.

-Variation in asexual reproduction are fewer and occurs due to small inaccuracies in DNA copying(Mutation).

-Variation in sexual reproduction are large and occur due to crossing over, separation of chromosomes, and mutation.

-Variation increases the chances of survival of a species in a changing environment.

-Free ear lobes and attached ear lobes are two variations found in human population.
