Concept of Divisor and Dividend
1. Dividend
- The number that is being divided.
- Example: In 9 ÷ 2, the dividend is 9.
2. Divisor
- The number that divides the dividend.
- Example: In 9 ÷ 2, the divisor is 2.
3. Quotient
- The result we get after dividing.
- Example: 9 ÷ 2 = 4, so the quotient is 4.
4. Remainder
- The number that is left over after the division.
- Example: In 9 ÷ 2 = 4 remainder 1, the remainder is 1.

The formula is Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder
