Concept of Opposite Numbers
Opposite numbers: Opposite numbers have the same distance from 0, but they are on the other side of the number line. An integer is a number without a decimal or fractional part. This type of number can be positive, negative, or zero. Opposite integers are considered negative or positive forms of a number.
The only integer that is its opposite is zero. This means that the opposite of 0 is also 0.
Properties of Opposite Numbers:
1. Opposite numbers are at the same distance from zero but in opposite directions.
2. The sum of two opposite numbers is zero.
