Parts of Computer System and Its Functions
1. Input Unit: It is used to enter data and instructions into the computer. Common input devices include keyboard, mouse, scanner, and camera.
2. Processing Unit: The processing unit performs operations on the input data.
It includes
- Memory Unit: Stores data and instructions temporarily.
- Control Unit: Controls the flow of data and coordinates all computer activities.
- ALU (Arithmetic and Logic Unit): Performs arithmetic and logical operations like addition, subtraction, and comparisons.
3. Processor: The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the computer. It processes all tasks and executes instructions.
4. Output Unit: Displays or provides the final result of the processed data. Its common output devices include the monitor, printer, and speakers.
