Why is the series arrangement not used for domestic circuits?

Series connections are not used in domestic electrical circuits due to the following reasons:

  1. It cannot be used with different devices (devices) with different switches on and off. If one equipment fails, the other also stops working.
  2. In series connection, the same current flows through all the devices, which we do not need.
  3. Due to high total resistance of the circuit (R = R1 + R2 + ...), the value of current becomes extremely low.
