Question
Sam washed the eggs thoroughly before storing them two days ago. However, today, while making an omelette, he discovered that the eggs are no longer usable. In your opinion, what could be one reason for this deterioration? Additionally, how would you recommend he store them next time?

Solution
Eggs should never be washed before storing as the pores of the shell which were filled with organic matter will get exposed to microbial growth. Eggs should be stored with pointed end downwards to prevent movement of air cell towards the yolk.
