Mars:
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in our solar system. It comes after Earth. It is also called the "Red Planet" because its surface has a reddish color. This is due to iron in the soil, which gets rusty, making it look red.
- The soil on Mars contains iron, which reacts with oxygen, giving it the red or rusty colour.
- Olympus Mons, the tallest and longest mountain in the entire solar system, is on Mars. It is much larger than any mountain on Earth.
- Mars has two small moons, named Phobos and Deimos.
- Scientists are interested in Mars because they believe it could have had water in the past and they are exploring if life ever existed there.
- Mars has seasons, weather, and even dust storms, but it is much colder than Earth.
