A Wheel and Axle:
A wheel and axle is a simple machine that consists of a large wheel attached to a smaller rod, known as an axle. Both parts rotate together to make it easier to move or lift loads.
- When the axle rotates, the wheel attached to it also rotates. Electricity, human effort, or any other force can power this rotation.
- The axle acts as a fulcrum that supports the movement of the wheel, allowing it to turn smoothly.
For example: bicycles, cars, door knobs, a giant wheel, etc.
