Cost of 24 identical articles = Rs.108
∴ Cost of 1 identical articles = Rs.`108/24`
∴ Cost of 40 identical articles = Rs.`(108/24xx40)`
= Rs.`108/3xx5`
= Rs. 36 × 5
= Rs.180
