∴ f(0) = `lim_(x -> 0) "f"(x)`
= `lim_(x -> 0) (cos^2 x - sin^2x - 1)/(sqrt(3x^2 + 1) - 1)`
= `lim_(x -> 0) (cos2x - 1)/(sqrt(3x^2 + 1) - 1) xx (sqrt(3x^2 + 1) + 1)/(sqrt(3x^2 + 1) + 1)`
= `lim_(x -> 0) (-(1 - cos 2x) (sqrt(3x^2 + 1) + 1))/((3x^2 + 1) - 1)`
= `lim_(x -> 0) (-2sin^2x * (sqrt(3x^2 + 1) + 1))/(3x^2)`
= `(-2)/(3) lim_(x -> 0) (sin^2x)/(x^2) (sqrt(3x^2 + 1) + 1)`
