The only constant changes. This proverb has never been more true than it is now. It's all about our minds being directed by our perspective.

COVID came first, followed by the lockdown; it was like a nightmare. Throughout the world, people have been suffering and dying. There was even a feeling of remorse for having such opulence delivered to our house. The circumstance resulted in a loss of courage and the presence of negativity in every nook and cranny.

The most important thing is to remember that "our attitude at the start of a difficult work or event will determine the successful outcome more than anything else."

The entire world is grappling with a pandemic that has brought about monumental change in the very way of life, from workplace to marketplace, especially in education. Nothing has undergone a tremendous change in the education system.

Students have had to adapt their study practises from congregating classrooms to taking classes online. It is a matter of perception whether this change is for the better or for the worse.

Though the lockdown has kept us confined to our home, it has also served as a "gift in disguise" in the larger scheme of things. Our teaching method has been chalk and talk for the past few years. Learning by rote has long been the norm.

Our teacher-education system is still in its infancy, and new technology-based teaching methods have yet to be effectively implemented. Whether objective or subjective, the test is memory-based. The knowledge component is given more weight than the understanding and application of the principles. It has suffocated learners' curiosity, as creative techniques were never fully tested out of fear of completing the course for the sake of the tests. Our teaching-learning practises, which are only tailored for standardised board examinations, stifle brilliant brains. This flaw in our system has now been exposed as a result of COVID's abrupt break.

This is where all of our learning platforms have come to our aid, and the scope of online learning has grown exponentially. Online teaching has enabled school and college students to stay up with the curriculum from the safety and convenience of their own homes. As a result, guarantees that research is not jeopardised.

It could give you a sense of isolation, allowing you to be more independent. There is sometimes a lack of course availability or connectivity, which primarily impedes online learning and teaching. These obstacles, however, will pass with time and practise as we become more accustomed to the concept.
