For a set amount of time, new employees work as trainees under highly experienced supervisors or specialists. This strategy is employed when a higher level of skill is required to accomplish a specific job completely proficiently. Electricians and plumbers, for example, are “placed as apprentices or trainees for a certain period of time under their supervisors before managing jobs on their own.”
