A truck requires 108 liters of diesel for covering a distance of 594 km. How much diesel will be required to cover a distance of 1650 km?

Let the required distance be x
| Quantity of diesel in liters | 108 | x |
| Distance covered (km) | 594 | 1650 |
As the distance increases fuel quantity also increases.
∴ They are direct proportion.
`(x_1)/(y_1) = (x_2)/(y_2)`
`108/594 = x/1650`
x = `(108 xx 1650)/594`
x = 300
∴ The diesel required = 300 liters
