उत्तर

Characteristics of series combination of resistors:-

  1. The same current flows through each resistor.
  2. The voltage (potential difference) across the combination is equal to the sum of the voltage drops across the individual resistors.
  3. The effective resistance of the combination is equal to the sum of the individual resistances.
  4. The effective resistance of the combination is greater than any of the individual resistances.
  5. The voltage across each resistor is directly proportional to the resistance of the resistor.
  6. The series combination can be used to increase the resistance in a circuit.
