उत्तर

One afternoon during lunch break, the school campus was buzzing with the usual noise of chattering students and footsteps rushing towards the canteen. I was sitting with a group of friends under a large tree, enjoying lunch, when a scream suddenly broke the usual hum of the break time. I saw a monkey swinging across the branches and landing directly in the school yard.  Standing with my friends near the canteen, I saw the monkey climbing over the school gate and heading towards the playground.

The students' initial reaction was a mix of curiosity and fear. The younger kids, in particular, started screaming and running in different directions. Seeing the chaos, I realized that someone needed to take charge to ensure everyone's safety, especially the junior students who were the most frightened.

I quickly called my friends to help and decided to guide the junior students back to their classrooms. We split up and started gathering the younger kids who were scattered all over the playground and near the canteen. The monkey, meanwhile, seemed more interested in exploring the new environment than causing any harm, but we couldn’t take any chances.

I approached a group of frightened second graders who were huddled together near the swings. "It's okay," I said calmly, "let's return to your classroom. Everything will be fine." My calm behaviour seemed to reassure them, and they started following me obediently. I led them quickly but calmly towards their classroom building.

As we walked, I kept an eye on the monkey, which was now climbing a tree near the sports field. The teachers had been alerted and were also trying to manage the situation, but it was clear they appreciated our help with the younger students. I felt a sense of responsibility and urgency to ensure no one got hurt or overly scared.

Reaching the junior block, I instructed the kids to go inside their classrooms and stay there until it was safe. The teachers were inside, waiting to take over and keep the children calm. Once I ensured all the juniors I was guiding safely inside, I ran back to the playground to help more students.

I saw my friends doing the same, guiding groups of younger students back to their classrooms. The monkey was still around, but it hadn't shown any signs of aggression. It seemed more curious than anything else, inspecting the surroundings and occasionally stopping to look at the noisy, running children.

After what felt like an eternity but was probably only about ten minutes, the school security and some local animal control officers arrived. They carefully coaxed the monkey away from the populated areas and eventually managed to guide it out of the school gate.

With the immediate danger averted, the school principal made an announcement over the PA system, commending everyone for their calm and orderly behaviour during the unexpected situation. The younger students were especially praised for listening to the older students and teachers.

As I returned to my class, I felt a sense of pride and relief. It had been a challenging and unexpected situation, but working together, we managed to ensure everyone’s safety. The experience taught me the importance of staying calm and taking charge when needed, and it turned an ordinary lunch break into an unforgettable adventure.
