On her return, Mary Kom was given a warm welcome at the airport. Back at Imphal, she was greeted with garlands, drumbeats, and dancing. There was a victory procession across the town. A felicitation program was held at Langol. People showered her with rich encomiums. She was presented with a traditional shawl.
