Explanation of Poem in English

Shraavan has arrived, I feel elated, it's green everywhere.

In a moment it brings a dash of rains, and in a split second there's bright sunshine everywhere.

Shraavan has arrived, I feel elated, it's green everywhere

I see up, above in the sky, and see a doubled weave of rainbow.

And it looks like the arch of the sky has been decorated with holy flowers and their glow.

In a moment it feels like the sun is setting and in another it shines again brightly.

The tall tree tops and high risen houses get drenched in this sunshine completely.

And the clouds bear infinite colors of the evening.

The universe draws the boundless beauty into a picturesque painting.

Shraavan has arrived, I feel elated, it's green everywhere.

The flock of herons looks like a garland of white flowers.

It looks like a string of planets is unanimously ascending to the Earth, its beauty it devours.

The birds flap their wet wings and tidy up their sheen.

Radiant does with their children, gallivant in the meadows green.

The cattle enjoy their green meals, the shepherd hum and wander.

Their flutes, in union sing the songs of praise of the month's wonder.

Shraavan has arrived, I feel elated, it's green everywhere.

The golden Champak blooms, the forest is filled with the fragrance of Kewra all around.

The beaming of flowering of the night-jasmine, does calm me down.

Carrying a pretty basket, the innocent

Little girls, married women, pluck the flowers (for God) full of scent.

And as they leave, (carry all the positivity with them) I cannot conceal this bliss of heaven.

I must hear from them ,this poetic grandeur of Shraavan.

Shraavan has arrived, I feel elated, it's green everywhere.
