Solution
- Today, the generation of electrical energy has become essential, and life without electricity is almost unimaginable. Electrical energy is produced using various methods. A generator, based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, is used for this purpose. The generator is rotated by a turbine, which is driven by different energy sources.
- These energy sources can be renewable (such as wind and sunlight) or non-renewable (such as coal, petroleum, natural gas, and nuclear fuels). Renewable sources like wind and solar energy are environmentally friendly and economical. They do not cause pollution during operation.
- However, non-renewable sources such as coal, natural gas, and nuclear fuels can harm the environment. Burning fossil fuels releases soot particles and greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. These gases contribute to air pollution and global warming.
- Nuclear energy also produces radioactive waste, which is harmful to both humans and the environment if not handled properly. Therefore, it is important to adopt eco-friendly alternatives to fossil fuels. Switching to green energy sources is essential for protecting our planet.
