Question

Draw a neat and labelled diagram.

Solution

Given a potential difference of 18 V and a current of 3 A, the required output is a potential difference of 72 V and a current of 9 A. In a circuit, voltage stays the same when components are connected in parallel, but it increases when they are connected in series. On the other hand, current remains unchanged in a series connection, while it increases when components are connected in parallel.
