Surface area of the figure
= 2[3 × 1 + 1 × 1 + 3 × 1] + 2[4 × 1 + 1 × 1 + 4 × 1] – [1 × 1 + 1 × 1]
= 2[3 + 1 + 3] + 2[4 + 1 + 4] – [1 + 1]
= 2[7] + 2[9] – [2]
= 14 + 18 – 2
= 32 – 2
= 30 cm2
