Alauddin was a patron of art and learning which can be seen clearly from the large and beautiful monuments built during his reign. There were many learned scholars and poet in his court, Amir Khusrau, the famous Persian poet was one of them.
The Alai Darwaza is one of the most beautiful architectures of that time. He also built many beautiful palaces and mosques. The Siri Fort and the Palace of Thousand Pillars are good examples of it.
