a. Henry Fayol was a French mining engineer who developed 14 principles of management after conducting many
experiments. He is also known as the “father of modern management”.
b. The principle of unity of command states that a subordinate should get orders from only one superior. If too many seniors
command a single employee, chances are that the employee will get confused; this will also lead to delay in work.
