Solution

Let the number be x.

According to the question,

`(2x + 20)/25 = 4`

⇒ 2x + 20 = 25 × 4

⇒ 2x + 20 = 100

⇒ 2x = 100 – 20

⇒ 2x = 80

⇒ x = `80/2`

∴ x = 40

Hence, the required number is 40.
