Let p(x) = x3 + 3x2 \[-\] 6x + 2
p(1) = 1 + 3\[-\] 6 + 2
= 0
Now,
\[\left( x + 2 \right)\] is a factor of p(x).

p(x) = (x\[-\] 1)(x2 + 4x \[-\] 2)
q(x) = x3 + 3x2\[-\]3x + 2
q(1) = 1 + 3 \[-\]3 \[-\]1
= 0
\[Now, \left( x + 2 \right)\] is a factor of p(x).

\[\Rightarrow \lim_{x \to 1} \left[ \frac{x^3 + 3 x^2 - 6x + 2}{x^3 + 3 x^2 - 3x - 1} \right]\]
