Deduce the number of molecules of the following compound in the given quantity.
32g oxygen

Solution
Number of moles in O2 = `("Mass of O"_2 "in grams")/"Molecular mass of O"_2`
= `32/32`
= 1 mole
∴ 1 mole of O2 contains 6.022 × 1023 molecules.
∴ The number of molecules in 32 grams of oxygen is 6.022 × 1023.
