Solution
History is not a performance of tricks or supernatural wonders. It is the study of real people, societies and events, and of how they have changed over time. Yet it can seem magical to a curious observer. Through historical records, we encounter distant cities, unfamiliar cultures, remarkable inventions and the rise and fall of civilisations. We can also trace how one event influences another and how human beings respond to hardship and opportunity. To see this “magic,” we must look carefully, ask questions and recognise connections rather than simply memorise dates. Nehru suggests that history rewards attentive minds by revealing the richness and wonder of human experience.
