Question
A circular racing track has inner circumference 528 m and outer circumference 616 m. Find the width of the track.

Solution
Outer circumference = 616 m
Radius (R) = `"C"/(2π)=(616xx7)/(2xx22)"m"` = 98 m
Inner circumference = 528 m
∴ Inner radius (r) =`(528xx7)/(2xx22)"m"` = 84 m
∴ Width of track = R − r = 98 − 84 = 14 m
