Explanation:

A, B, and C together can do work in

`=(2xx12xx8xx16)/(12xx8+8xx16+16xx12)`

`=96/13` days

Work is done by all in 3 days`=13/96xx3=39/96`

∴ Remaining work`=1-39/96=57/96`, which is to done by B and C.

∴ B and C can do the remaining work in `57/96xx8`

∴`57/12=4 3/4` days.
