My father was recently transferred to Mumbai, therefore our family recently relocated. I had never been to Mumbai before, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Mumbai got its name from the word 'Mumba.' Mumbadevi is the name of the Koli community's patron goddess. Due to some occasional emergency, it was required that we shift from Kolkata to  Mumbai as momentarily as possible, So after acquiring the transfer letter, we had to somehow leave our old place within 2-3 days. I wanted to have a taste of living in a major metropolis. As a result, when my father was offered a job transfer, I couldn't express how happy I was.

My parents chose Vashi as their new home since it offers a tranquil and peaceful lifestyle. We sought a rental apartment that was close to the station. We flew out of Kolkata and arrived at Mumbai airport in under two hours 45 minutes. We chose to stay in a nearby hotel for three to four days because our loadings were due to arrive in a few days. Meanwhile, we contacted our neighbours, who were quite kind and helpful. When our loads arrived, they offered all conceivable assistance based on their capabilities. The only issue we had was that it began raining as soon as our truck arrived. Even though the rainy season is past, Mumbai rains are unpredictable. The rain took nearly four hours to end, and by that time, everyone was stranded. But after that, everything went smoothly.
Finally, into more than 10 days I became very much familiar with the place and had made many friends of good nature at the same time. It's really not easy for anyone to leave out the memories of past 10 years. I found it to be a lovely city, despite its flaws, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time here.
