उत्तर १
Biogas is used for cooking and lighting. The technology of biogas production was developed in India mainly due to the efforts of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
उत्तर २
- Clean and Safe Cooking Fuel: Biogas replaces traditional firewood and dried dung cakes, producing a smokeless flame that eliminates indoor air pollution and significantly reduces respiratory diseases in rural homes.
- High-Quality Organic Manure: Digested slurry, a byproduct of the biogas process, is a superb, nutrient-rich organic fertiliser. This enhances soil fertility while reducing farmers' dependence on costly chemical alternatives.
- Efficient Waste Management and Sanitation: It uses readily available cattle dung and organic farm waste to keep village environments clean, reduce bad odours, and prevent the growth of disease-causing insects.
