उत्तर

For the given rate law, r = k [A]1/2 [B]2,

Order with respect to A = 1/2

Order with respect to B = 2

The order of the reaction = `1/2 + 2`

= `5/2`

= 2.5

Assertion: Order of the reaction can be zero or fractional.

Reason: We cannot determine order from balanced chemical equation.
