Minerals are naturally occurring solid substances with a characteristic internal structure and properties. They are formed through geological processes that take millions of years. Examples of minerals are:
- Iron ore: It is used to make farming implements, railway lines and so on.
- Manganese: Manganese compounds are used in the production of pharmaceuticals as well as to turn glass pink. Manganese is also used in electric appliances.
- Bauxite: It contains 55% aluminium. As a result, it is primarily used in aircraft, transportation, and the production of electric wire.
- Copper: Copper is used in the manufacture of electric wires, radios, telephones, cars, kitchen utensils, and statues.
- Mica: It is used in a variety of applications, including ayurvedic medicines, dyes, electric machines and equipment, and wireless communication equipment.
