Solution
- Vehicles are fuelled by either petrol or diesel fuel. Nowadays, compressed natural gas (CNG) is also used.
- Aviation fuel, petrol and diesel are derived from petroleum using fractional distillation.
- Petroleum is a nonrenewable source of energy.
- It is decreasing on a daily basis, and demand for gasoline has skyrocketed as the world's population has grown dramatically.
- However, the reserves of petroleum (fossil fuel) are finite. It is becoming more difficult to meet the rising demand. So we should avoid wasting fuel.
