  4. Snow leopards and yaks are found in the snow-capped regions of the Himalayas while in the Peninsular region, Indian Bisons, deer, antelopes and monkeys are found.
  5. Many turtles, crocodiles, and gavials (Gharials) are found in rivers, estuaries, and coastal areas.
  6. A variety of birds, such as peacocks, the Great Indian bustard, Kingfishers, peafowls, ducks, parakeets, cranes, and pigeons, are found in the forests and wetlands of India.
  7. One significant feature of India's wildlife is that it is the only country in the world where both tigers and lions are found.
