GANDHI LEADS A POWERFUL CAMPAIGN OF NON-VIOLENCE

Ahmedabad, 1918: Mahatma Gandhi has led a major Satyagraha movement against the British authorities, urging people to fight injustice through truth and non-violence. Farmers and workers have joined the peaceful protest and are demanding fair treatment and relief from unfair policies.

A local farmer said, “We will remain peaceful but will not accept injustice. We believe that truth and unity will help us win our rights.”

Satyagraha was important because it introduced non-violent resistance as a powerful method of fighting injustice. It encouraged ordinary people to participate in the freedom struggle and strengthened unity and courage among Indians. Gandhi’s method later became an important part of the wider struggle for independence.
