Solution

INDIANS UNITE AGAINST BRITISH GOODS

Calcutta, 1905: The Boycott Movement has gained momentum across Bengal following the partition of Bengal by the British government. Indian leaders are urging people to boycott British-made goods and support Indian products instead.

People are refusing to buy foreign clothes and other British goods. Public meetings, rallies, and demonstrations are being organised to encourage the use of Indian-made products.

A local shopkeeper said, “I will no longer sell foreign goods. By supporting Indian products, we can strengthen our country and oppose British rule.”

The Boycott Movement was important because it challenged British economic control and encouraged Indians to become self-reliant. It united people from different sections of society and strengthened the spirit of nationalism. It also gave Indians a peaceful way to protest against colonial rule.
