Solution 2

Evaporation is the process by which water changes its state from liquid to water vapour (gaseous state) due to heat from the Sun or any other heat source. It mostly occurs from water bodies, wet or irrigated soil, wet clothes, etc. Although mainly a daytime phenomenon, evaporation is a continuous process with varying degrees.

Factors that increase the rate of evaporation include clear skies, wind (which replaces moist air with dry air that can hold more moisture), an increase in surface area (like spreading wet clothes), and higher air temperatures (which increase the air’s capacity to hold water vapour).
