उत्तर १
“The change of state of a liquid to vapour at all temperatures from the surface of the liquid is called evaporation.”
उत्तर २
Evaporation is the process by which water changes its state from liquid to water vapour (gaseous state) due to heat from the Sun or any other heat source. It mostly occurs from water bodies, wet or irrigated soil, wet clothes, etc. Although mainly a daytime phenomenon, evaporation is a continuous process with varying degrees.
Factors that increase the rate of evaporation include clear skies, wind (which replaces moist air with dry air that can hold more moisture), an increase in surface area (like spreading wet clothes), and higher air temperatures (which increase the air’s capacity to hold water vapour).

The scientists now say that there are actually five states of matter A, B, C, D and E. The state A has a fixed volume but no fixed shape. The state B can be compressed very easily by applying pressure and state C has a fixed shape as well as a fixed volume. The state D is a mixture of free electrons and ions whereas state E is named after an Indian scientist and a famous physicist.

Evaporation is a fast process and occurs only at the surface of the liquid.
The rate of evaporation is more when the surface area is greater.
