L.H.S.
=18 × [9 + (–7)]
= 18 × [9 – 7]
= 18 × 2
= 36
R.H.S.
=18 × 9 + 18 × (–7)
= 162 – (18 × 7)
= 162 – 126
= 36
∴ L.H.S = R.H.S
Hence, verified.
