Total Outcomes 62 = 36.

An even number on both the dice

Possible outcome ⇒

(2,2) (2,4) (2,6)

(4,2) (4,4) (4,6)

(6,2) (6,4) (6,6)

⇒ 9

∴ P(E1) ⇒ `9/36`

= `1/4`

The total number of all possible outcomes = 62 = 36

Even number on both dice

= {(2, 2), (2, 4), (2, 6), (4, 2), (4, 4), (4, 6), (6, 2), (6, 4), (6, 6)}

Number of favourable outcomes = 9

∴ (Getting an even number on both dice)

= `9/36`

= `1/4`
