The lengths of the sides of two squares are in the ratio 8:15, find the ratio between their perimeters.

Solution
Let the side of first square = 8x
∴ Perimeter of first square = 4 × Side = 4 × 8x = 32x
and the side of second squares = 15x
∴ Perimeter of second square = 4 × Side = 4 × 15x = 60x
Now, the ratio between their perimeter = 32x : 60x= 8 : 15
