Explanation:

Let the length be x metres.

Then, breadth = (x – 5) m.

∴ x(x – 5) = 750

⇒ x2 – 5x – 750 = 0

⇒ (x – 30)(x + 25) = 0

⇒ x = 30   ...[∵ x ≠ –25] 

Hence, length = 30 m.
