Question
Sunandabai bought milk for ₹ 475. She converted it into yoghurt and sold it for ₹ 700. How much profit did she make?

Solution
Cost price = ₹ 475; Selling price = ₹ 700
Since the selling price is more than the cost price, there is a profit.
Profit = Selling price − Cost price
= 700 − 475
= ₹ 225
∴ Sunandabai made a profit of ₹ 225 in this transaction.
