Question
In `square` IJKL, side IJ || side KL, ∠I = 108°, ∠K = 53° then find the measure of ∠J and ∠L.

Solution

Line LK || Line IJ And line IL is the transversal.
∠L + ∠I = 180° ...(interior angle)
∴ ∠L + 108° = 180°
∴ ∠L = 180° – 108°
∴ ∠L = 72°
Line LK || Line IJ and line JK are transversal lines.
∠K + ∠J = 180° ...(interior angle)
∴ 53° + ∠J = 180°
∴ ∠J = 180° – 53°
∴ J = 127°
